The boring, but important bits...

At Riley's Grooming Co, we are proud to provide a safe and secure environment for your dog.

The welfare of your dog is our number one priority.

We ask that all of our customers read and understand the following terms and conditions.

All dogs attending the Salon will have a Client Record on file. This will be completed at the Salon and kept at the Premises.

By booking a groom with us, the client understands & consents to the conditions below:

Arrival/parking

Riley’s Grooming Co is a home run business. Politely, we ask that respect is kept whilst parking on the estate. We have our own double drive way, that you may pull up onto, or across the front of our drive/garden.

Please try and avoid pulling into the parking bays that are opposite or in front of neighbouring houses.
We ask that you please make sure that your dog is kept on a lead and is fully toileted before arriving. 

We understand that accidents can happen and scent marking is part of owning a dog, but please be respectful of surrounding areas and gardens.

Cancellation

We understand life happens. There are some situations which are unavoidable. You may need to reschedule your appointment. We ask, where possible, you provide us with 24hours notice if you can no longer attend.
Any appointments cancelled with less than 24hours notice will be subject to our cancellation free, which is 50% of the groom cost.
No showing your appointment will also be classed as a last minute cancellation and subject to the same fee.
Our cancellation fee is payable to the salon before we can book you in for another appointment.

Matting

With us your dogs welfare comes first. If they arrive with a matted coat, it's mostly impossible to de-matt the coat. We will shave the dog short if we deem necessary as matting can cause significant pain. This is always carried out within the dogs best interests. Due to the nature of matted fur (depending on how severe/close to the skin the matts appear) it is possible haematoma's may appear. It is also sometimes possible to nick the skin causing small, superficial wounds.

We do not accept any liability for such grazes, as they are unavoidable during the welfare groom.We will try our upmost to contact you prior to shaving the coat to inform you of this, if you are unreachable it is at our discretion whether to go ahead with shaving the coat short. Before, during and after pictures will be taken.
Due to clipping off a matted coat this can damage our equipment, takes extra time and care, so please note that a matting fee may be applicable to these grooms. This will be communicated with you prior to collection of your dog.

Flea & Vet

All flea treatments must be up to date. If your dog is found to be carrying fleas during their groom, an additional £15 fee may be applied to your total. This is to cover cleaning supplies needed to completely fumigate the salon after your dog leaves.
Should your dog become unwell during the grooming process, we will stop the groom either until it is safe to continue, or stop with the view of attempting again at a later date.
If the dogs health deteriorates rapidly and we cannot reach you, we will seek veterinary treatment on your behalf
You are liable for all veterinary costs, unless an injury has occurred due to a fault on behalf of the groomer.

Time keeping

We have a 15 minute cut off for late arrivals. If you are running late please contact the salon to let us know.

If you arrive after the cut off, the appointment will be classed as a missed appointment and our cancellation policy will apply.
We ask that you collect your dog promptly after receiving a text or call to say your dog is ready.
If you need to request a late drop off or collection please contact the salon to discuss further.

Paying & Customer satisfaction

We are a small independent home based business, so we politely ask that payments are to be made in CASH. We will confirm groom costs in our collection text/call.
We communicate as much as we can to get the groom to your satisfaction.

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the groom or service you have received, please contact us after your appointment and we will be happy to discuss them with you and resolve any issues you raise fairly and promptly. 
If there is any changes you would like us to make to your dogs groom, please contact us within 24 hours so we can rectify this free of charge.
